Just a few items to lighten the day

The other day someone had an idea for me to write about. I researched it but could not come up with a story that would do it justice. Although, I could not come up with a story, I did come up with an idea that I hope is as fun for you as it was for me.
“Up with the chickens!” has to do with getting up really early and getting your day started. There may be some folks that do this in the pandemic but I don’t think there are many. I do sometimes.
You know it doesn’t, right? Actually what happens is the female doesn’t need the male to fertilize her eggs. She has a certain amount that she can lay all by herself, thank you. The rooster can have sex with the hens but it is only sex.
Ducks are the same. The male jumps on the female, holds the back of her neck, she moves her feathers, does the deed, jumps off, flaps his wings, preens and walks away. It’s the same with the females.
I just thought this one was funny!
Can’t fool the hen in your flock. One rooster to 12 hens. He needs to stay straight.

She knows where her eggs are going. She has dropped to deep, dark depression.
