Remember Chuck Barris of the Gong Show? He Could Have Had A CIA Life.
Who Knows The Truth?
Going through many, many renditions of the game show genre, writing music, managing his production company, and marriages, it was said, he had a side gig as an undercover CIA agent and killed 33 people. Of course, the CIA denies this claim, but Barris’ book, “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” says something else. This book was also a movie directed by George Clooney which was his first movie direction.
Oscar-nominated producer Andrew Lazar weighs in on the late TV personality’s claim: “He never, never denied the authenticity of the book in all the years I knew him.” But Lazar, who remained a close friend of Barris‘ and visited him just six weeks before his death on March 21, 2017, says the iconic TV personality never backed down from his story, even if the CIA emphatically denied that Barris worked for the spy agency.
Considering all the CIA experimentation on psyches and remote viewing and telekinesis, that existed. So the idea that the CIA would actually go to people that were traveling around the world for television shows and have them do counterintelligence, that’s not that far-fetched.
